Some conversations require a higher standard of privacy than ordinary email or messaging can provide. The confidential consultation channel is purpose-built for that.
A one-on-one chat between you and the firm, encrypted end-to-end in your browser, available only by appointment, and erased automatically when the conversation ends. It is not a general-purpose client portal — it exists for the moments when the content of a discussion or the documents being reviewed warrant the highest practical level of confidentiality.
When we agree on a consultation, the firm sends you a username and a single-use 12-digit access code through a secure messaging service of your choosing — typically Signal or Telegram. At the appointed time, you visit the channel, enter your username and code, and join.
Your browser and ours then establish a fresh encryption key by direct exchange. The server only sees the resulting encrypted traffic, never the plaintext of your messages or files. At the top of the chat, both screens display a short verification fingerprint; we read it aloud at the start of the call to confirm that no one is intercepting.
Discussions of pending criminal matters; disclosures concerning ongoing investigations; review of sensitive immigration filings or government correspondence; international consultations where ordinary channels may be subject to interception; the exchange of identification documents, draft pleadings, or evidence ahead of a hearing. For any conversation in which the existence and content of the exchange are themselves privileged, this channel is preferable to email.
To request a confidential consultation, contact the firm at simone@bertollini.com or by a WhatsApp message to +1 (212) 566‑3572. We will agree on a time, and your access code will be issued at the start of the appointment.
